Grand Canyon & Glen Canyon - Monument Vallley & Zion Valley - Part 1

The Jet Blue flight  from New York to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona takes up ward of  5 hours. Jet Blue is a budget airline that has evolved as  a successful business model based on efficiency and no-nonsense business practices. No free blankets in here. You have to purchase and keep  it. But it only cost US $ 5.

At the terminal we hired a  Nissan Ultima from Hertz, for 3 days to drive through  3 states - Arizona, Utah and Nevada for my long coveted  canyon visit.
The Ulima was returned to Hertz Car Rental  at Las Vegas, Airport at the end of the trip before we flew back. A total of 1030 miles ( 1650 km) was put up on the car and a lot of joyous memories in our hearts.
Here is the course of our first leg of journey- Phoenix to Grand Canyon South Rim.

The Grand Canyon is 446 km long, up to 29 km wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,000 feet / 1,800 meters). It was carved deep by  River Colorado  over millions of years.
I have no words to describe it in its true majesty. Neither can any camera do justice.
One has to visit it.
I consider it a fortune to have seen it with my family.
